The male birds calls are made up of an incredibly accurate mimicry repertoire of other native birds in it’s range as well as metallic fizzing, whirring and buzzing sounds of it’s own. There are also numerous accounts and records of the birds also mimicking human sounds such as chainsaws, power tools, camera shutters and musical instruments with equal accuracy.
